Remember this??
Time to evaluate my promises for 2006. Can't say I'm too disapointed actually.
#1: To finish five kits -It turned out to be four, Kanemoto NSR ´99, Lucky Strike NSR ´99, Yamaha R1 Tuner and the Teléfonica RC211V ´03. Not too bad.
#2: Install a blog - As you see from the picture, I completed this promise very early. Unfortunately I had to remove it just as quickly due to all spam that was posted in it.
#3: Try to get one kit a month - I think I almost had this one... counting backwords I ended up buying 11 new kits this year. A total I'm satisfied with.
I'll be back with some new promises shortly! Happy new modeling 2007, every one! |

Found the Studio 27 transkit for the 2003 Desmosedici on s´sale at HLJ today. I thought I would leave this one out as it is quite expensive and I really don't fancy their way of using so much white metal. But at half price I couldn't let is slip out of my hands. I'll probably do the VISA colored livery eventually. |

At www.detailanddesigninscale.com I found a new detail manufacturer with loads of interesting stuff. Take a look at the images by clicking the logo to the right and then run to Dave at DaDIS and get your own super detail set. They look fabulous! |

Not only do we see a new Repsol RC122V (image) machine from Tamiya, now HLJ.com announces that we'll get the Konica Minolta version of the 2006 RCV. Release date is set to January 2007 and price is set to the new bike standard 3000 yen. |

I also got a picture of the decal sheet for the Renaissance Honda NSR500 2001 test livery. Sure is a beauty as well. Will be printed by Cartograph. No release date yet. |

So, almost a month since my last update to the news section and I can tell you there is a lot going on! I'm not even sure I show you all I've seen over the last couple of weeks. But here are the latest enterings in the world of bike modeling, I even give you a couple of rumours... First I'll show you a couple of news that are already cooling off. These sets have been on the market for a couple of weeks already. |

Renaissance has released another transkit of the ´05 Konica Minolta RC211V. This time it's parts and decals for the Dutch GP where the Konica Minolta team entered with a livery promoting the release of the motion picture "Batman returns". You can get the transkit with decals and resin parts or just the decal sheet. |

Etienne at Renaissance finally finished the transkit for the ´01 Honda NSR500 he's been working on. This set gives you the long awaited possibility to build the Rossi bike featuring the hawaiian livary. This one is a stunner, I tell you that!

When we're at it I'll show you the latest projects from Renaissance. First it's a stunning graphics job giving you the ´05 Fortuna "Miró" livery. This is great looking bike and Hopefully we'll soon get a ´05 Tamiya RC211V kit to put it on. |

Renaissance is also releasing a decal sheet for the ´04 Dántin Desmosedici. This team raced with a 2003 set up leaving the rivet counters with a few choices. Either you can go with the Heller Desmosedici ´03 or you can take the Tamiya ´04 Desmo kit and get a Studio27 ´03 transkit for the much appreciated price of 14.000 yen... Or again, you can get the dacals and wait a bit, rumour has it Renaissance is working on a transkit of their own! Probably much better than the thick cowls of S27 and if we're lucky, resin instead of white metal for the parts. I know I'll do the latter. |

MSM Creations are releasing a ´05 Yamaha M1 Gallic scheme decal set. Looks nice beside the regular Gauloises set up.

Tamiya has had their ´05 Yamaha M1 Laguna Seca edition out for a long time. I haven't given you the picture though. Here it is, read more at Tamiya website >>here
Tamiya has also announced they are doing the Valencia livery for the same bike. Big T hasn't released any kit pictures yet but this is how the real bike looks.
Both kits are released with Colin Edwards #5 only. Strange but not a problem as several aftermarket companies are releasing #46 decals for both bikes.

Rumour has it, Tamiya is releasing a ´05 RC211V bike! Will we get the ususal Repsol livery or are they willing to brake some new frontiers!? |

Ragged Edge Designs is working on a lovely decal sheet for the 1998 Barros bike. Sheet will come together with mask templates for the sort of tricky paint scheme. It's always nice to skip those large decals to recreate color areas, don't you think? |

Studio 27 has put out a first picture of their spring release transkit of the 2003 Ducati Desmosedici GP03. The kit will need the Tamiya Desmo as a donor kit. Picture only shows cowling parts but the t/k will hopefully come with Marlboro decals as well. With this release I hope we'll see decal sheets for Ruben Xaus and Neil Hodgson as well. |

Etienne at Renaissance is making progress on the long awaited Mugello Hawaiian scheme for the 2001 Rossi bike. WIP thread on Mautomobile.com have these in progress pics! This bike should have hit the market last fall but has been delayed several times. Finally it looks as it is coming towards completion! Nice work Etienne! |

Besides the Rossi Mugello bike Etienne will also make a re-release of the Rolfo´05 test bike. He had the three bike set out earlier wich seemed to be very popular but with Tamiya coming out with the Rolfo´05 bike, this will be a very nice re-release.. |

Two new decal sheets from MSM Creation is due this week. It is the 2004 Estoril GP Fortuna Spiderman bike sheet and rider decals for the same bike and race. Will be nice to have a Melandri rider figure for that lovely bike! |

Crazy Modeler is about to release a beautiful PE set for the M1. It
will hold 5 part trees and the images are looking stunning so far!

At the Nürnberg Hobby Show, Tamiya announced that they are working on the
Yamaha M12005 with the 50th anniversary livery that was raced at Laguna
Seca. Great news if you ask me.

Tamiya kit number 14103 will be the Dántin GP4 Ducati Desmosedici!
HLJ.com has set the release date to sometime in March. Hopefully
well see a new release of the Renaissance decal sheet for that bike to do
the later season and test liveries! |

Found out today that the Renaissance decal sheet for the Sete Gibernau/Marco
Melandri 2005 Teléfonica RC211V is out. Seems like a nice sheet but you'll need some qualified scratch job or the Renaissance transkits of
the 05 rcv to make this kit justice. |
